The Divine Retreat Centre Toronto is a religious and clerical society. The pre-eminent purpose of the Vincentian Congregation is the evangelization of the poor. Through leading retreats, preaching, outreach ministries and doing missionary work through charitable social and educational apostolate. The Divine Retreat Centre Toronto is one of the evangelization centres of the Vincentian Congregation under the auspice of the Archdiocese of Toronto.

A highlight in the spiritual calendar of the Centre is Divine Mercy Sunday, a deeply significant feast emphasizing God's boundless love and mercy. It offers the faithful a profound opportunity for spiritual renewal, reflection and grace. The celebration acknowledges the promises attached to this feast, encouraging all to seek God's mercy, especially on behalf of sinners.

This year’s celebration was marked by a Solemn Holy Mass, celebrated by Rev. Bishop Ivan Camilleri, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Toronto. The evening included a Procession and Veneration of the First-Class Relics of St. Faustina Kowalska and St. André Bessette, drawing many faithful to witness and participate in the sacred event.

The Mass was a central part of the celebration, serving as a moment of profound faith and spiritual refuge. It invited participants to open their hearts to Divine Mercy, offering a unique and grace-filled opportunity to encounter the compassion and forgiveness of God.
